AboutAIU Cedar Society

A student-led official organization connecting Akita with AIU students

Our Mission

The AIU Cedar Society is an officially recognized student organization at Akita International University (AIU), established in the spring of 2025 and fully launched in June of the same year.

Our mission is to "Connect Akita and the Potential of AIU Students," aiming to create opportunities that bridge the enthusiasm and abilities of students with the society of Akita.

In response to the current trend of many students leaving the prefecture after graduation, we want to create attractive opportunities in this region that naturally foster the choice to "stay in Akita."

Activity Vision

We emphasize the cycle of "Encounter, Learn, and Practice."

Through lectures featuring distinguished guests, we provide students with learning and networking opportunities comparable to those in urban areas, and connect the inspiration gained from these to practical application in Akita.

Three Pillars

01 Encounter
Opportunities for dialogue with guests active on the front lines of society.

02 Learn
Learning opportunities comparable to those in urban areas.

03 Practice
Creation of actions within Akita.
