Lecture by Yutaka Wada, Co-Representative Director of Zukutochie Co., Ltd.

On Friday, May 15, 2026, we hosted a lecture featuring Mr. Yutaka Wada, Co-CEO of Zuktochie Co., Ltd., on the theme “Aiming for a World-Class All-Season Mountain Resort.”

Mr. Hiroshi Wada, our guest speaker, graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University of Tokyo. After earning an MBA from Duke University, he worked at the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries and Bain & Company before assuming his current role as Co-CEO of Zuktochie.

Approximately 40 people from both inside and outside the university attended the lecture. This included students currently studying abroad who participated online, demonstrating the high level of interest in the topic.

During the lecture, Mr. Wada spoke about regional revitalization from the perspective of a practitioner, as well as sharing his views on career paths and advice he would like to offer students while they are still young. Following the keynote speech on all-season mountain resorts, a Q&A session was held with the participants. The discussion covered a wide range of topics, from questions regarding efforts to revitalize rural areas to Mr. Wada’s personal experiences.

Participants shared numerous reflections, such as: “I feel I learned not only about regional revitalization but also about life itself,” “I want to take on challenges without fearing failure,” and “I want to strive toward a direction that brings me joy in my future life.”
